Membership Types

This area is for creating and editing types of memberships. Membership types can be used to control the level details for upgraded memberships, often referred to as 'Gold' memberships. Or they can be used to create and edit any other type of membership you wish. For example, it is also useful to set up a membership type called Admin and assign only your own account to this membership type, so that you may test things such as email ads you create, by sending them only to yourself prior to sending to members.

The first section of this page provides a search box for finding and editing or deleting any existing membership levels. Just hit 'Search' to get a list of them, then 'Delete' or 'Edit' or 'Copy' as required.

The second section allows you to create new Membership Types:

Say for example, your program has Gold, Silver and Bronze membership upgrades, which attract an extra 50%, 20% and 10% downline commission respectively, and free referral levels of 3, 2 and 1 respectively. Here's how you add them.

1. Type Gold in the first field, 50 in the second, and a 3 in the third.
2. Click Save.
3. Repeat the process for Silver membership, with the figures 20 and 2.
4. Repeat the process for Bronze membership, with the figures 10 and 1.

Now, to set a member's account to one of the levels you have created, bring up a member's account as you would normally, using the User Management | View/Edit/Delete Users menu option. On the member's account page you'll see a new section 'Special Membership Settings', where you can set the member's level to any of the levels you have set up in step 1, or to 'Use custom settings', in which case you set the values individually here in the same section. Don't forget to click the 'Save Changes' button when you are finished.

Note: the extra commissions for downline earnings are not calculated as a percentage of the standard commision. They are applied to each level's standard settings. So, if the standard commission settings are 10%,5%,3%,2%,1% and you set the extra commission for an upgraded level to 15, then members at that upgraded level would earn 25%,20%,18%,17%,16% .
