Paid2Click Ads
Use this page to create/edit/delete Paid2Click ads.
Search PTC Ads Database: You may search for an ad by entering the Ad Id, Client ID, Description, Ad Group or leave the field blank and display all ads in your database.
Creating a New PTC AD:
Username: This is the ID you assigned to your customer. e.g. customer@buysomeads.com
Ad Description: This is a descriptive ID you assigned to the ad: e.g. 10000 Impressions
Ad Group: Here you specify a group name, so you can have differnt types of ads in different areas: e.g. automotive (or just main if you want just 1 group)
Duration Type: Select the duration type from the radio buttons.
Duration: Depending on the Duration Type you selected, enter the expiration information. The ad will expire according to the information you place here.
Examples: Duration Types and their Duration settings.
Expire by a certain date: 20040609240000 = expires on June 9, 2004 12:00am
Expire after so many clicks: 1,000 = expires after the ad has been clicked 1,000 times
Never Expire: Leave Duration field BLANK
(When using a date you must enter the year, month, day, hour, minutes, and seconds. ex: June 9, 2004 12:00am would look like this:20040609240000 )
Value: Enter the amount of the paid ad: (cash values should be entered as a $ amount, not cents). e.g. 1 cent would be entered as .01
NOTE: If you enter just the number 1 while choosing the Value type "Cash", it will be a $1 paid mail!
Value Type: Select the type of credit your members will get for clicking on the ad - Points or Cash.
Timer: Enter the amount of seconds that you want your members to visit your advertisers site before getting credit. Setting to 0 will disable the timer e.g. 30
Hours to lock the PTC after it is clicked:Use this setting to create ads that can give credit regularly. E.g. a setting of 24 will create an ad that can be clicked daily.
Banner image URL: Enter the URL to the banner image e.g. http://www.theirdomain.com/bannerad.gif
Image Width: Enter the width for the banner image in pixels. If you enter the number 0 the default size will apply.
Image Height: Enter the height for the banner image in pixels. If you enter the number 0 the default size will apply.
Site URL: Enter the URL to the website being promoted e.g. http://www.theirdomain.com/page.html
Alt Text: Alternate text, placed here, will appear on screen when the viewer hovers their mouse over the image.
Text Ad: If the client wants a text message, rather than using a banner image, enter the text message here.
HTML Ad: If the client has provided HTML code for their ad, you can enter it here.
Note that HTML ads can not be tracked as easily and require the use of a javascript popup to track the clicks. If the viewer has popup preventing software, or javascript disabled, the ad will not be shown to them, even though the click will be recorded.
Click Save Ad: Click the button and you're done. The ad is created and will go into the rotation immediately.
